We can also say that professionalism is not only important in the workplace but also in our everyday lives. First of all, it is important to know what being a professional means. In fact, mainly it’s to be engaged and committed in his work. In addition it is important to be accessible to others, so you can’t focus solely on your work. You can demonstrate this connection with others by demonstrating good business etiquette. For example, you shouldn’t complain about the amount of work and you should always be proactive. Controlling your emotions shows good work ethic and you should never take any decisions or make any sudden actions while under the influence of your anger. Also, being professional is synonym of being savvy about job’s fields of interest, and lying is the worst alternative. Furthermore, professionalism is also about always giving your 100% and by staying true to your promises. For example, if you have to explain something to a group you have to do so as if they have no knowledge on the subject. To sum it all up, professionalism requires a person to be exact and confident about what they`re saying. Likewise, you have to demonstrate your professionalism by assigning tasks to others and by being grateful. In addition being professional requires that you give special attention to your image; you have to find middle ground because exaggerating isn’t any better. In general, your professionalism is the demonstration of your control in diverse situations. For example, if you are caught in a situation in which you are in disagreement you must ignore your personal wishes and accept the situation as is. In conclusion, professionalism is proof of your maturity and you should always think before you act. In certain situations it might be hard but if you succeed you will separate yourself from the rest".

In this summary, I learned what it exactly means to be a professional and I understand that this quality is very important in order to succeed in today’s world. In fact, I already know the main ways to act professional, such as the ones described in this article. Nevertheless, I found this article right on target for job hunting.

In the text, you give to me the exactly meaning of the word ‘professionalism’. The tip that I think will help me the most is maintaing control in all different situations because it shows that you are not easily distracted and can focus on work.
